Hello!
Amy is a children’s book author and freelance illustrator currently based in St. Louis, Missouri. She enjoys bringing to life the worlds of stories, whether real or imagined. She often depicts whimsical or idyllic scenes for readers to escape in. Clients can find her most recent work in her first picture book, Shores of Gold: An Ode to Fife, Scotland (2024) and The Front Steps: A True Story About A Boy Who Loved To Read (2024).

Before pursuing a career in illustration, Amy earned her B.A. in English, focusing on creative writing. After graduating, she held various jobs, including copywriting, graphic design, and teaching studio art. While teaching, she wrote and illustrated her first children's story about her travels in Scotland. She enjoyed the process so much that she decided to pursue her passion with an MFA in Illustration and Visual Culture at the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts.
As a freelancer, Amy has produced a variety of artwork for clients. Her portfolio includes picture books, comics, lyric video illustrations, and animations. She was awarded the Student Illustrator Scholarship from the Society of Children's Books Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and selected to display her work at the Illustration West 63 Exhibition 2024.
